I would consider myself a Romantic Formalist.
I see artwork as a nonverbal emotional discussion about being human; the idea of artwork being felt rather than thought.
My work is created through deconstructing and reconstructing flesh using exaggerated lines and colours. A study of line, shape and colour with the hope of an emotional undertone.
Our flesh is a transparent organ and hardly homogeneous with all the colours and shapes influenced by a living organism beneath it. With no standard ubiquitous ‘Flesh Tone’ I have plenty of room to explore.
